Air travel have resumed at Edinburgh Airport following a major ATC system failure grounded all flights.

All aircraft movements were stopped because of an systems problem that occurred at about 08:30.

A number of travelers reported being stuck in planes on the runway during the disruption.

Flights Resume with Residual Impact

A statement indicated at 10:40 that flights had resumed, and thanked passengers for their "patience and understanding".
