Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has suffered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to return to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
