On Monday, the tribunal learned communication data and evidence retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most covered child disappearance cases and is still open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate voicemail, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine was, but I believe what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? What happens next? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a life here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," she added.

The jury was informed that through emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with the police force who compiled the information, told the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted family friends of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann answered a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I will continue and I will prove my position."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in the county in last December.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to express the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be treated respectfully in the period preceding the appearance to the village, the county, in last December.

The court learned communications between the two accused, in last November, planning attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from silverware at a restaurant.

"We have to assert ourselves," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their home, Mrs Spragg sent a communication which stated: "We find ourselves positioned near the McCanns' home with our headlights off like private investigators. I had hoped to do this with Peter Andrew I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The trial continues.
